Defeat Today || MenSeek || Mr-Syash
So a lot of you, I am sure, have read a lot of books, teaching you ways on how to be the best, and yadayada. Well, it's simple.
Every habit, every piece of information about yourself that will generate confidence, self belief, a work ethic, and a success story is vested in a time period called now. If you elongate that time period, it becomes today. And that is, all in all, what manages your mood, what the next day is going to be like, assigns your stress levels, and appoints the quantity of distractions you'd be faced with, For example, the amount of people you're texting with today just to pass time, will come back tomorrow, even though in your head you have decided tomorrow is going to be the day of no distractions and no time wasted.
With every action, there is a reaction. It happens a lot, you send somebody a simple text, and in response you get back a tragic story, and now they are coming to your home. I am not saying, don't text anybody.
This is just one of the million examples of how your actions today destroy your tomorrow.
A lot of you rely on planning but can't ever execute, a lot of you believe in managing time, but get bitchslapped by addictive algorithms of facebook, instagram, snapchat who just love to take a massive shit on your efforts.
As a result, a lot of you have simply lost all faith in your abilities and have submitted to the conclusion that facebook is just your daddy who own you.
And this powerlessness further deactivates all power nodes of confidence, will, sacrifice, and self belief, no wonder why a lot of your messages start with, "I can't... I can't stop using facebook, i can't stop using my phone," what kind of a weak submissive conclusion is that? These are apps, not hulked up bullies that physically overpower you.
This is a psychological self created self destructive pattern which you can shut down with a single stroke of your finger.
But you can't, because people, so many people that you in your mind have been convincing you can f.**k.
all the pictures that help you beat your dick, the fear of losing out on the golden moments of friendship so you have to constantly check what's everybody posting on the friends group, including the odorous pool of vomit you call entertainment you fill your mind with -- all comes from these apps.
There's no solution, especially long term, because in your mind you're only left with the strength to pull off something for a day.
You watch motivational videos, get motivated, and work brilliantly for a day.
So you know for sure you can assemble your focus for a day, and then it falls apart.
Well, in that case, that's your solution: defeat today. Screw planning, management, screw whatever you attach to the feeling called hope.
Don't hope, F**k hope. Let's do what you believe you can. And that's kicking the ass of now. What will you do tomorrow?
Nobody knows, nobody cares. Today I am going to work as hard as I can.
Just for today, there is no facebook, no insta, just my limited drive to work for a few hours -- and I am going to make the most of it.
Today, I am mad freaking max. Today, there is no distraction, no texting back, no visiting anybody.
Just for today, I am going to give my all. This is an exception, ladies and gentlemen.
Rest of the days, who knows, today, I am going to create history.
And with these words in your mind, write a brilliant chapter in the story of your life on how you channeled that fragmented focus and brought it all together. How you came to the discovery that you were capable of being so productive!
And when you find that about yourself: make a simple rule: there is no tomorrow, every day is today.
Every morning you wake up, focus only on today. Forget completely that there was a yesterday.
Don't ride on the pride you might feel over how hard working you were, because that will give you the idea that you are free to take a day off.
See, you're not going to forget what you learned, so except for that, forget everything else.
Don't pay any heed. Wake up blank every morning, and remember what the number 1 rule of life is? Defeat today.
And live by this rule until out of nowhere you find that you have slipped into a system, a routine, habits that came from simply repeating being productive. When you repeat the same thing, you become familiar with that environment, control is generated, and structure comes naturally to you. So instead of wasting your time in trying to build a structure, keep doing the thing and structure will automatically come from your efforts as a by product.
